My Blog 2- Aidan Ahearn

About Me

My name is Aidan Ahearn and I am from Alexandria, Virginia, about 30 minutes south of Washington D.C., and have lived there for nearly 20 years. I am a sophomore at High Point University where I am majoring in sports communication in hopes of becoming a sports journalist in the future. My goal is to eventually work for ESPN as an NBA writer and analyst. During my time at the university I hope to strengthen my skills in writing, researching, and reporting in order to become a better journalist. Currently, I am a writer for the Hi-Po magazine. I write articles about various sports on campus and interview athletes and coaches, such as Coach Tubby Smith of the men's basketball team.

Outside of school, I love to play and watch sports. I played soccer from about age 5 through my senior year of high school. I am also a Boston sports fan, as both of my parents were born and raised in Massachussets. I also love listening to music and have a collection of vinyl records.
